Feng Shui for Better Friendships

We’re gonna be talking about how to create stronger friendships with Feng Shui, how to use your home to support you to call and to improve your relationships with your family but also with your friends, and maybe if you want to call in some new friends.

Feng Shui is the fact that every single part of your home represents a different part of your life. I’m going to talk about the area of your home that represents family, community, and friendships. I’m also going to cover some action steps that you can take today in your home to really improve relationships and connections, also some manifesting tips for calling in more relationships and creating the space for them.

Setting The Intention

The first thing I would definitely recommend and if you’ve watched my videos before, I am a huge fan of setting down the intention like sowing the seed. If you don’t know what you want, you won’t get what you want, so clarity is really important. Maybe you’re looking around your life right now and you’re seeing friends that deplete you or you’re seeing relationships that don’t feel aligned with where you’re going, that don’t feel as supportive as they could possibly be. You’re seeing that and I would say sit down and write down what kind of friendship you want?. What do you want from your friendship? Do you want people who are uplifting, fun, joyful, or supportive?. It just comes to mind, Ken has this quote: “A reason, A season, A lifetime” people come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime and giving thanks for the people who are being in our lives and also opening up the opportunity for new people to come in that are more aligned with you.

As I said, sit down, write down the kinds of traits and the things that you’re going to look for in new friendships that you want to create and then from there I highly recommend making space from your life. So the first step, we can make space in your home and then make space in your life to create and call in what is it that you want. It takes synergy between two things, so I love starting with the house because that’s my whole practice. It’s like getting your home started first and it all starts at home.

The east area of your home is related to family, community and friendships, with that area if you can’t don’t worry I would say to you just look for that east area you might get the general direction of it. Have a look for the east area and when you find the east area of the home you can get a compass, use your phone to see the general area and if it’s the place that makes sense you know so if it’s in the living room, ours is in our hallway it would be a good place for you to place a picture of your friends if you want to improve relationship with your existing friends or if you want to call in new friends maybe get a picture of something that resembles that type of friendship that you want.

I’m just thinking about my friendship area. My vision board has a group of women who are dressed very hippie-like they’re all like in a circle and they’re really happy together. They look really free and happy so maybe you find a picture like that, that resonates with the type of friendships that you want to call in. I’ve even had a client who really was her main thing, when she hired me she wanted to Feng Shui her home for abundance because money hadn’t been flowing so well and she wanted some new friends. Since she’d moved in, friendships hadn’t really evolved and she was being really lonely. She actually commissioned an artist to create an amazing piece of art for her family and community area. It was really the embodiment of the type of friendships that she wanted. Now, you don’t have to commission a piece of art, you could even find a picture of animals that have a really good relationship. So even a pack of lions like that have this really great connection and powerful bond, something that embodies the type of relationship that you want. Artwork is really big, you can also write your intentions and pop them into that east area discreetly and that would be really helpful. In the east also put family photos if you wanted to but we’re talking about friendships.

Now if the east area is really an awkward place and feels like a weird place to have photos. It could be your bathroom, I don’t recommend and I actually don’t recommend in your bedroom either photos of your friends. I would say the living room, the place where you gather that you want people to come together, or the dining room. In the kitchen, have a picture of the group of people and that will just anchor that intention into your space. Now I’ve just read an amazing quote by Anthony Hopkins about friendships. It was all about setting those kinds of types of friendships that you want and reflecting on the traits that you want. It just really resonated strongly. As I said in your physical home, you can set your attention with the artwork and also go check your east area and declutter anything that’s broken or not working in that area as you declutter in your home, maybe make space in your diary. Are you going to do something different in your life? Are you actually going out somewhere that you could potentially make new friends? Ken and I are actually going to a paddle game, it’s like a tennis cross between tennis and squash. So we’re gonna go check it out and he was like “oh it’s such a good way to meet new people” and everyone shares and we get to meet new people at all games. I was like, “Wow, that sounds like a great opportunity”. So I definitely recommend reaching out and finding and making space for new things like starting doing the thing where you think like minded people would be and that can be something that a great start. You’d have to take action yourself in your own life and make space for it. Have a day that you’re like this is my new friends day in my diary, and that will help as well.

I have an incredible guide for you that is a checklist that’s going to show you room by room. What exactly you can be doing to improve the flow of energy and activate Feng Shui in your home. This guide and checklist is usually just for my clients, you’re in luck that you’ll be able to get it as a gift from me. You can grab that guide at patricialohan.com/checklist that will move you through every single room to Feng Shui your space and get that flow of all the things that you want coming into your life.

So, good luck. I hope that you call in the most amazing divinely aligned friends and just remember the quote they used to bug me a lot when Ken first started going into relationship with me was “A reason, A season, A lifetime” and I’m like this is no reason or season this is totally a lifetime, but we’ll see a reason a season or a lifetime and just calling those divinely aligned people that are gonna support you in the next phase of your life.
